Honoring Unique Minds

Where every child feels

seen, heard, understood and valued

for the unique mind they are.

My Approach

My name is Lindsey Roberts and I am a classroom teacher with over 20 years experience with neurodiverse students. I am certified in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education in the state of Connecticut. I have seen the struggles that parents face in meeting the complex needs of unique children and advocating for what is best for them in schools. I have even experienced it first hand with my own children.

Through Honoring Unique Minds, I work alongside neurodiverse children, their families, and schools to create supportive, personalized paths for growth—always with empathy at the heart. My approach is rooted in neurodiverse-affirming practices that celebrate each learner’s unique strengths while offering specialized support in executive functioning, emotional regulation, and soothing a dysregulated nervous system. I believe every child deserves to feel understood and valued, and I collaborate closely with families and educators to advocate for accommodations that truly reflect each child’s needs.

Through this strengths-based, relationship-driven approach, we nurture self-confidence, self-awareness, and the belief that every child can thrive as their authentic self.
